The judges’ verdict: Eosta supplies a niche, i.e. a wide range of organically-grown products, which contributes to sustainability on an international level. With many other organisations, the company reinvigorates social discussions and, in doing so, helps shape sustainability in horticulture. Its pioneering role to get growers enthusiastic about organic cultivation and consumers, for organic products, is praiseworthy. The judges appreciated the drive, via its subsidiary company, Soil&More, to get growers to include the development of sustainable enterprise in their current products, so that this type of cultivation will expand.
